Hearts Ablaze for God in 2021

As we close out 2020 and jump straight ahead into 2021 it doesn’t seem like much has changed yet.  However, if we are able to learn from the past, we will recognize that this time last year we never could imagine all that was going to transpire.  The same principle is at work for 2021.  We don’t know all that the Lord has in store for us all.

Stepping out in faith we desire to see the Lord continue to fan the flames of His presence within us.  The Lord has orchestrated so many things and He has been a God of all the little details in the past.  I think of Isaiah 55 and knowing that “our ways are not His ways” and His thoughts and ways are way better than ours.  We recognize His sovereignty and trust that he that began this good work will finish it.

So, as we look ahead to 2021, we find ourselves in places and situations we never intended to be in.  One thing we can say, is that God is at work and He is fanning our hearts blaze for Him.  Our resolve to make much of His name and fame is still strong.  Our setting and responsibilities have changed but the task hasn’t.  Thus, this year we will be seeing how the Lord can guide us to new ministry sites where we will be able to evangelize, disciple, see new healthy churches formed, leaders developed and partnering more effectively with our brothers and sisters in

Christ from around the world.

Some Items to Praise God for Accomplishing in 2020:

Ministry:

·      We were able to see entry from ourselves and faithful believers enter 15 new areas of ministry.  We are now in a new ministry field in Nairobi Kenya.

·      We ourselves were part of seeing over 4000 people hear the good news of Jesus Christ.  Many of them heard for the first time.  We have witnessed over 100 people be baptized.  Our faithful brothers and sisters in Christ have baptized another 250.

·      We saw discipleship groups grow and reproduce.  We personally discipled almost 70 people ourselves and saw our disciples work with thousands of others.

·      Although the meetings didn’t come to fruition we helped 75 leaders gain growth in leadership development.

·      We exited our work with the Antandroy and Antanosy in Madagascar but continue to try and partner from afar.  We are excited for the leaders the Lord has placed there to continue on His work.

Personal:

·      All of us have remained relatively healthy this past year.

·      Our family was able to visit us in Madagascar and they made it back to the USA safely in the middle of the Covid outbreak.

·      Phoebe is engaged to Josh and they are doing well.

·      Emma has continued to flourish at UMHB and will be working with her church’s college ministry next year as an intern.

·      Baylee has been a champ and done so well in school despite not meeting in person since March.  She has transitioned to Kenya well.

·      River has continued to grow in stature with man and God.  We are seeing him develop.  He also has done well to a new setting and online school

Prayer Request:

  • Pray that Matthew 5:14 would be evident in our lives that we would shine God’s light brightly and that He will get all the glory.
  • Pray for all the needs we will have spiritual, financial, emotional, physical.

Announcement:  We will be in the USA from mid-April to early July 2021 for our next Stateside.  We would love to connect and share with you all that God is doing.
