2020


Well here we are at another new year.  We want to take a moment and just reflect on God’s goodness here in the Antandroy and Antanosy regions over this past year.  We have seen a lot of growth and development take place among our Malagasy Brothers and Sisters in Christ.  God is doing great things.  See below some numbers for all of you numbers people.  (These numbers only reflect where the IMB missionary has directly been involved.  Much more has been done by Malagasy leaders).

Gospel Witness:  1915
New Believers in Christ:  626
Baptized:  72 (Water is an issue)
Total in Weekly Bible Studies:  3000
Leaders Trained in Biblical Theology:  80
Churches or groups close to church meeting:  53

We just want to give God all the glory for all that He is doing!  On top of that we have also provided seed for planting for over 4500 people, school supplies that impacted over 5000 people and done many other projects to help with food, rent, school fees, clothes and daily needs of people.  The Lord continues to provide.

Honestly, this has been a hard year for us.  We have dealt with some heavy things and it has worn us down.  We really do ask of the Lord to make 2020 more fruitful in the ministry aspect than in dealing with other issues outside of direct ministry.  In all we can say that God has been good.  He is guiding, directing and helping us grow in Him.

So, as we enter 2020 please keep our family in your prayers.  Pray specifically for things below:
January:  
Receiving new team members.
Important prayer retreat.  
Also, it is a heavy month financially with school/university fees for all our kids. Pray for wisdom and faith that God will provide.
Pray for Suzie to have a blessed Birthday.
February:  
Pray for Baylee to continue to adjust well to school at RVA and that she will know how much we love her.
Pray for Adam to have a vehicle that works so that he can get to the bush and do his main job out there.
Pray for River to love new languages and have a deeper passion for learning them.
March:  
Pray for Phoebe to have a good birthday and that she will see God’s grace and learn to walk more closely with Him
Pray for us to love on family and share all that God is doing with them.  Also, pray for them to see the “why” of our absence from the USA.
Pray for the Sports league in Fort Dauphin to truly impact the kids and families
April: 
            Pray for us to live out the Gospel of Jesus Christ in all that we do
            Pray for Adam to have a good birthday.
            Pray for Emma and her funding needs for a summer missions project
May:
Pray for women to know how precious they are in Gods eyes.  Pray for them to follow after Him whole heartedly
Pray for our family to remain united in Christ.
Pray for Emma and Phoebe to finish the semester well.
June:
            Pray for teams that will be coming to Madagascar. 
            Pray for endurance for us.
July:  
            Pray for leaders in the IMB around the world.
            Pray for Baylee to have a great Birthday & for her to see how she is growing in Him.

August:
            Pray for our marriage to remain strong and founded in Christ
            Pray for Malagasy church conventions to be united under Christ.
September:
Pray for Emma to have a good Birthday and that she will continue to depend on Him for all her needs.
            Pray for the girls to have a good school year.
October:
            Pray for special projects that we will be seeking to write and finalize
            Pray for unity in Madagascar
November:
            Pray for us to be thankful in all things
            Pray for us to be satisfied in Christ
December:
            Pray for River to have a good Birthday
            Pray for churches and believers to trust in Christ to provide for Christmas.

Finally, we are very thankful for you all and all that you do to intercede on our behalf.  We are beyond grateful for how the Lord is using us all.

It's Time to Come Home

The Lord has prepared us and led us to make a significant change.  We're coming back to the USA!  Many things have helped us make this decision, but ultimately, the Lord is leading us, and we are just continuing to be faithful to Him. Walking By Faith...through a Never-ending Storm

This past month has been difficult for us as a family.  Actually, this whole year has been tough. We have a need to heal physically but emotionally we just don't feel strong due to not being able to do all the required/wanted activities physically.  We are responsible for so much and we feel as if we are giving our all but it just isn't enough.  However, in our physical and emotional weakness the Lord is faithful. All this to say, what keeps us going is serving the King of Kings and the Lord of Lord's. Being actively involved in God's Kingdom work is where we find ourselves being strengthened and reminded that He is strong and Mighty no matter how we feel. Thus, when things break down, when we find ourselves weak physically, when we feel all alone and abandoned, He is there! Short but Packed

February is a short month but we packed it full! (No surprise!!) Baylee kicked off the month in Olepolos, a village south of Nairobi, where she served a church and its community alongside some classmates. She was able to share the gospel, serve in the church, work on the church and love on the children and students in the village. Adam & Suzie got to tour Istanbul on a long layover headed to Athens where they spent time with others leading the strategy for their cities in other parts of the world. It was incredible to visit places with such rich histories and ancient landmarks, both in Istanbul and Athens. God is on the move around the world. He's the same yesterday, today and forever, which is mind-blowing, especially when your standing in front of an olympic stadium that was built in 330BC, and that's still not as old as creation.
