Zero to One, Two, Three, Four, Five.......

It is amazing to us how quickly a month passes by.  We have always known that time goes by fast but so many times it seems just like yesterday we were doing this same thing.  September was a very busy yet good month.  We have been able to accomplish many things that needed to be done and we have spent many days out in the bush.  Through all of these trips it has been great to do almost all of them as a family.  We praise the Lord that River for the most part seems to enjoy the bumpy roads and Baylee has a servant heart.  This makes the job so much easier when we are out sharing God’s Word.  We have many stories to tell but can’t fit them all in this one update.  So we will highlight a few.

Upon returning from RVA we had the privilege of going out to Ambovombe and sharing God’s Word at the church.  The Lord had laid a message on the assurance of Salvation focusing on who God and Jesus are from John 10 and it seemed to be received well.  Furthermore, we have been able to go back and help them with a tent revival that they were holding.  It was encouraging to see the local believers desiring to see others come to faith in Christ Jesus.  They truly have a passion for sharing the Father’s love.  They have had all night prayer vigils, days of fasting and days of worship and Bible study to prepare themselves.  So great to see and hear!

We also were able to go out and do a training for a new couple and had the privilege of training trainers and sharing in a few villages surrounding a couple of towns.  The amazing thing about all of this is that it struck us that less than two years ago we had zero contacts and knew of zero believers and as we were walking through town we looked back and had a group of eight Malagasy men with us.  Each one either became a believer or re-dedicated their lives over this time past.  What an amazing reality to see first hand that the Lord is at work in peoples hearts.  No we don’t have a Church planting movement and no we don’t have droves of new coverts but Praise the Lord we have a foundation being set in Him and we desire to build up upon the Rock Jesus Christ and see Him do great things in Androy land.   Lord willing we will be able to see these men and several ladies be baptized this next month.

As a family we are adjusting well to the changes of not having Phoebe and Emma at home.  Adam is taking on a few more responsibilities in the home while Suzie as always does it all.  We have found that there are benefits to these changes.  Phoebe and Emma are doing well in school and both are staying busy with school, homework and extra-curricular activities.  Phoebe is playing basketball and Emma is playing tennis.  Emma had a good birthday and we are so thankful for the Lord for her, her sisters and little brother.
