Never Off Duty

Sometimes our schedules get super busy and other times we wonder if we're doing enough (the latter not as often), but one truth remains, "We're never off duty ."   This is a truth that we learned early on in our lives, our marriage and our ministry.  There is always someone watching and as long as we call ourselves his , we have a duty to exemplify him . Another truth we must remember is that we're called to serve with  God and not for God.   "Apart from me you can do nothing." (John 15:5c) We've experienced an extremely busy season, but as we stop and reflect we are so thankful and excited about all that the Lord is doing.  He is faithful.  He is using us despite our weaknesses. He is expanding and strengthening his Kingdom.  To God be the glory. In October, we were able to host a short term team that shared the gospel with over 1,000 people in 5 days with many decisions to follow Christ.  We led a cohort of colleagues in their first term as we ...

Run Out

  The month of October was jam packed full of ministry opportunities.  This photo of River asleep on the floor at church expresses how we all felt! RUN OUT! --> This is part of the reason we have yet to send an update for November.  The full schedule ran over into the first part of this month and we're just now trying to catch our breaths! We will send a more thorough update for December, but for now we want to give thanks and focus on the Lottie Moon Christmas offering. Praises: *Over 100 people gave their lives to Christ thanks to a team from SWBTS. *We were able to meet in person with other leadership personnel for meetings and fellowship. *We were blessed to meet some of our trustees and involve them into the ministry here in Nairobi. Prayer requests: *Rest *Continued wisdom and guidance leading the Nairobi City Team *We have a group of 13 adults in training, all set to come serve in SSAP as mid-term and long-term missionaries.  They will all arrive on the fie...
