Reflect and Rejoice

This update may be a month early but we are taking some vacation in December and therefore have been reflecting on the past year.  WOW! God is good! Lives have been saved. Relationships have been formed. New missionaries have come. African missionaries have been sent. Disciples are being made. We are rejoicing!

We have seen our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ catching the vision for proclaiming the name of Jesus to all those around them. We have trained up a number of churches with tools and a plan to GO and as they go, they're sharing this good news, the hope of eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

We're also continuing to learn from our African brothers and sisters! Over the years, we've been encouraged and challenged by the passion they have for the Lord, his Word and for abiding in him. The Kenyan people, in particular, are very hard-working. They wake early and stay up late seeking to work for their living and to minister as they go. They are so generous and thoughtful.

The new missionaries that have arrived on the field this year are thriving. We're thankful that the Lord calls and equips people for his purposes and glory. It's not easy but God is faithful. Continue to pray for the 74 families in Sub-Saharan Africa that are serving in their first term.

Please also keep the following requests in your prayers:

*Chaplaincy program- A request was made in July for Baptist chaplains to serve patients and staff at hospitals. We weren't sure how to train them, but God made a way. We have now trained over 200 men and women to volunteer their time as chaplains. There are many more requesting training and also businesses now requesting chaplains. Pray we will be faithful to fill this need as the Lord leads.

*Church plant in Juja- wisdom and clarity moving forward

*Healthy Church Training- 4 associations in the Nairobi area have been trained and 2 will be trained next year

*Various ministries around Nairobi- EV & Discipleship Trainings, university ministry (called Tangaza), ESL classes, food distributions (throughout Kenya, especially after the drought), and multiple discipleship groups throughout the city

*Clear direction for the future. With each new year, we reflect and we also look forward. Pray for us as we lead the Nairobi City Team and the First Term Training program, to lead as the Lord directs us.

*For the 55 Unreached, Unengaged People Groups in Sub-Sahara Africa, that our affinity is seeking to reach by 2025 CLICK HERE for that LIST (and Resources)

*How you can continue to support us and all IMB missionaries serving around the world. WE ARE TOGETHER in the task. As many of you know, Christmas season is a season for giving and that's when we emphasize giving to the LMCO (Lottie Moon Christmas Offering) CLICK HERE to GIVE to Lottie Moon. Praises:

*We will be in Texas for  Christmas!!
