For now, we’re in a sprint to the finish.

As we’ve taken on the role of First Term Training Catalyst, Nairobi City Leaders, and interim as Language and Culture Specialists, there’s still a lot of work to do before our stateside!

One of the most exciting tasks we’ve been a part of is training local believers. We’ve gained entry into a Kenyan neighborhood nearby where we live.  We worshipped with the small group of believers one Sunday, and Adam and a team went back to do a training of about 30 members.  We look forward to seeing how the Lord uses those believers in the neighborhoods of Landri and Babadogo.

The Lord has also paved the way for us to be a part of a beautiful local church family.  Ruaraka Baptist Church has welcomed us with open arms and has many outstanding programs and strategies in place.  We’ve been asked to provide training and are currently doing just that.  Please pray for hearts to be ignited and believers to be mobilized to engage the lostness.

Other tasks we’re involved in include training our colleagues already on the field and preparing those coming soon.  Due to COVID, we have not held a conference in-person with the units in their first term.  Therefore, we’ve created a virtual conference that spans the month of March.  Although it’s been a lot of work, we’re excited to offer this training and look forward to how the Lord will use each person.

For those units preparing to come to Sub-Saharan Africa, we’ve been meeting about once a week, imparting nuggets of truth that will help them acclimate well upon field arrival. We’re thankful to guests from within our Affinity that have graciously given their time and knowledge to speak into these missionaries’ hearts.  We will spend 2 ½ days with them virtually next week before commissioning and finalizing their bags.

Lastly, we have been doing our best to track language learners, language coaches, and language budgets. We’re so proud of the progress language learners have made and are so thankful for the hard work language coaches, and teachers put into these learners. We’re excited to be doing language training at the end of the month so more M’s can study with trained teachers.

On the family side of things, River continues to thrive at Rosslyn Academy.  Baylee has done so well back in person at RVA.  This is her last term there as she will complete her courses for the year online while we’re stateside and then begin her Junior year at Rosslyn.  Phoebe is in her final semester at Texas A&M.  She’s worked so hard and will finish her Biomedical Science degree.  Emma has also been working hard while at the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor.  She will graduate in December with a degree in Social Work.  She has really enjoyed her internship at Family Promise over this past year.  We’re proud of the difference she’s making in so many lives.

Praises:

*God is on the move.  All around the world.

*New missionaries are still being trained and sent to the field

*Our kids are thriving in their respective schools

Prayer Requests:
