Looking Forward by Looking Back

Image
As the time for us to depart FPO and return home for just a few days before leaving for Mada is upon us we can’t help but just be amazed about how God has been at work in our lives.   When we look back we see many good things but we also remember making some very bad choices.   We are always amazed at how quickly the bad choices can influence the rest of one’s life even just a couple of bad ones out of all the many choices in life.   Knowing where we have been and where we are today is truly only by the grace of God.   We serve a God who has chosen to forgive us the chief of all sinners and use us to reach the unreached.   He has chosen us the biggest hypocrites who have ever lived to go and display what genuine Christianity looks like.   We cannot explain why God does this but all we can say is that ‘His Grace is Sufficient’.   We’ve found that where sin was at work Grace was deeper and greater, we’ve found that where shame and reproach were evident H...

Countdown to Mada

Image
We are in VA learning how to accomplish great things for the Lord.  We are spending long hours each day sitting and learning so that we can spend countless hours applying and teaching.  While here we are able to learn from some very gifted teachers but most of all we are able to here from the Father on a very regular  basis.  What the Lord has been doing in our hearts and minds is truly amazing.  We have a heart for the Antandroy and Father just continues to grow the love that He has for them within our hearts.  We have somewhere around 35 days until we head out on the newest adventure of our lives.  We are in constant prayer and seeking to be the very best M's we can possibly be by abiding within the Father.  The past month has seen so many new things that it is hard to share them all.  A few highlights are that we are living with some great new friends and have had the privilege to meet so many other great new friends.  The Mitche...

Living in Training

Image
We are having a wonderful time in training.  It has been a busy time but definitely worthwhile.  We are spending complete days in class and asking God to let us retain all of the information that we are learning.  The girls flew on an airplane for the first time and did awesome.  So thankful to be able to have spent some time with family and friends over the past few months.  We love you all very much.  Some quick highlights are that Baylee turned 7 and got her ears pierced.  We are so proud of our little girl and pray that God would allow her to not only grow physically but spiritually as well.  What Can you Pray for Us About: Pray for retention of information Pray for the Antandroy people--that they would see the creator in His creation. Pray for all paperwork to be swift and easy to complete. Pray for our team members and fellow believers in Mada. Pray for our families and church as they settle in with the thought that we are going. As ...
